Feminist Action Alliance History Project: About Feminist Action Alliance

About Feminist Action Alliance

In 1973 when the FAA was formed there was a rebirth of the Women’s Rights Movement. FAA was one of the drivers of many initiatives in the State of Georgia to educate and confront both the institutions and individuals in American society which denied women full equality in their economic, social, political, spiritual, educational or personal lives.

FAA was formed to advance the full participation of women in social, political and economic institutions. During its lifetime, Action developed and delivered diverse programmatic solutions, nurtured significant partnerships, fostered the development of other organizations, and built media relationships to educate, advance and advocate for change.
