When the Library building opens for Fall 2020 semester: 

  • RDS Team members will not be providing any face-to-face assistance -- all workshops and consultations will be conducted virtually.
  • To enforce proper social distancing, computer availability within the library will be significantly reduced.

Help with Data Collection, Analysis, and Visualization

The GSU Library has a Research Data Services (RDS) Team that offers help with various statistical/quantitative and qualitative software tools (e.g., SPSS, StataR/RStudio, PythonNVivo), finding and collecting data (e.g., finding existing data/statistics, finding existing surveys/scales and Qualtrics survey tool help, and web scraping help), and mapping and data/GIS visualization (e.g., Tableau).

R Help

R Help

The Library has a Research Data Services (RDS) Team (library.gsu.edu/data) that offers live online workshop offeringsrecorded workshops, and one-on-one help on using various statistical software tools (including an R workshop series).

R is available on all of the Library’s desktop computers – see the Library’s hours here – and is an open source software freely available for download here.
