LibChat training and documentation

This may be the less complicated option.

1. Log into WebEx at gsumeetings.webex.com.
    
2. Copy your Personal Room URL (https://gsumeetings.webex.com/meet/CAMPUSID) and give the URL to the patron.
   
    
3. Click Start a Meeting.
    
4. Download and run the webex.exe file to open the session.
    
5. Turn your voice and video settings off (red) if you don't want to use your microphone and camera. Click the green Start Meeting button.
   
    
6. You or the patron can use the third button on the bottom control bar to share your screen. If the patron is unable to screenshare, open the Participant menu and make sure Anyone Can Share is checked.
   

1. Log into LibAnswers Dashboard as usual.
    
2. Connect to LibChat by clicking the LibChat menu, then choosing New Chat Dashboard. (Screensharing is not available in the old/default dashboard that we’re used to.)
   
    
3. While chatting with a patron, click the Request Screenshare button.
   
    
4. Click the green Launch button in the chat window.
   
    
5. A new browser window will open. Launch Zoom by using one of the displayed options. Start From Browser doesn’t require installing any software. If you have Zoom installed on your computer already, you can open it as normal.
   
    
6. Sign into Zoom. Your Springshare or GSU credentials will not work in Zoom. Either create a Zoom account, or use the options to sign in with your Google or Facebook account.
   
    
7. You or the patron can choose the green Share Screen button.
   
    
8. At the top of your shared screen, you have a control panel that includes voice and video chat options, and you can open a separate chat panel under the More menu. (Zoom chat is separate from Libchat.)
   
    
9. When finished, click Stop Share. Click End to end the Zoom session. Ending the Zoom session does not end the Libchat session.
