LibChat training and documentation

LibChat is part of the LibAnswers application.

Log into your LibAnswers/LibChat dashboard at the beginning of your scheduled shift.

Email Jason Puckett if you need an account or if you can't log in.

Click your email address at the top right in the yellow bar to change the name seen by LibChat patrons if you prefer a nickname, initials or something besides your full name.

Go to your LibApps account settings to change your email address, password, or LibAnswers email signature.

When you log into LibAnswers, you'll see your dashboard.

1. The gold menu at the top is mostly LibAnswers tools that you probably won't use during a LibChat shift.
2. The status indicator: Another librarian is online right now ("LibChat is Online"). I am not yet logged into chat ("You are offline"). Click the Sign In link to connect to LibChat.
