The Statistical Analysis Center (SAC), part of Georgia’s Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is responsible for coordinating the CJCC data collection and analysis activities. The Prison Policy Initiative is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that uses research to advocate for prison reform. Their national and state data are available to download for free, and they also publish reports, data visualizations, and state profiles.
Search data collections from the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), the primary statistical agency of the Department of Justice. The mission of BJS is to “collect, analyze, publish, and disseminate information on crime, criminal offenders, victims of crime, and the operation of justice systems at all levels of government.” Also includes online data analysis and visualization tools, such as the Corrections Statistical Analysis Tool (CSAT).
