CIS 8080: Books

Use the Library Catalog to Find Books

Use GIL, GSU's library catalog to find books in our library. The catalog also lists other materials in the library - including microfilm, dissertations, movies, music and special collections.

The default field (Any) is a keyword search. It's a good place to start if you are looking for information on a topic. If you have more specific information, you can also use the dropdown menu to search by a specific field (e.g. title, subject or author).

Is Your Book an eBook?

An eBook is an electronic version of a traditional print book.  You can use an ebook as a book source in your papers and other scholarly work. Ebooks are often read on a computer, smart phone, or dedicated ebook reader like the Nook or Sony Reader.  They are fabulously handy in that you can store many ebooks in a convenient, light-weight package. Additionally, you often have nifty digital features at your fingertips that are not available in traditional print books.

Our library catalog includes records for both print and electronic books.

Check out our eBooks research guide if you're not sure how to work with an eBook.
