Getting started

Your GSU email is a primary contact point between you and the college. You should plan on checking your GSU email regularly for important information pertaining to your student account, schedule, financial aid and other college-related business. This is in addition to your GSU iCollege account.

Your GSU CampusID and password is required to access the following: E-mail, password-protected GSU websites, wireless network access, iCollege, PAWS and GoSOLAR.

iCollege is an online digital classroom environment that includes streamlined communications tools, gradebooks, assessments and assignments, as well as content (i.e. lecture notes, videos, and PowerPoint presentations) delivery in a secure environment to enhance the student learning experience. It may be used by any faculty or staff to support the classes they teach and the services they offer students. iCollege is not limited to use by online classes. Perimeter College encourages the use of iCollege in all classes regardless of the manner in which instruction is delivered.

You use your GSU CampusID and password to login into iCollege.

Students have access to Microsoft Office from all CATlabs and computer classrooms, as well as through your GSU Office 365 email account. ALL students enrolled at GSU Perimeter College have access to free software downloads, including McAfee Anti-Virus and Microsoft ProPlus Office Suite for Windows, Mac and mobile devices.

Turnitin
Turnitin plagiarism checker software products help detect plagiarism, correct grammar and improve writing. Turnitin tools are integrated directly into the iCollege Dropbox tool. Faculty will notify students via their Banner Course Note and the syllabus if they will use Turnitin.com.
LinkedIn Learning
Online library of business, software, technology and creative skills training. FREE to GSU students, faculty and staff.

Link to PAWS
Panther Access to Web Services (PAWS) is Georgia State University’s portal designed to give students personalized access to wide-ranging campus resources in a single location. Students can use PAWS to register for classes, pay tuition, view financial aid information, and get information about their current status at the university. Requires GSU CampusID and password.
Link to GoSOLAR
Login here to register for new student orientation, register for classes, submit online evaluations of instructor, view academic records, personal information and financial aid, pay tuition and fees, enroll in direct deposit for electronic refunds, and order transcripts. Use your GSU CampusID and password.

TRiO
Support for first generation, low income, or students with disabilities. Services include financial aid, tutoring, workshops, technology access, advisement, career exploration and development, and even free and income-based childcare.
Access and Accomodations Center (AACE)
AACE collaborates with administrators, faculty and staff to ensure reasonable and appropriate accommodations for students with disabilities are provided. AACE offers the appropriate auxiliary aids and services to assist otherwise qualified persons in achieving access to its programs, services and facilities.
Perimeter Academy and other First Year Programs
A three-semester extended learning community, the Perimeter Academy is your opportunity to make the most of your college education. Starting in the summer, the Academy gets you on campus early so you can use invaluable resources, take initiative and develop the skills to have a successful college career right from the beginning.
