Teaching at GSU? Assign our Badges -- no extra work for YOU!

Integrate GSU Data Ready! Badges into your course or program curriculum! It's simple and requires no content creation by you!

How it works:

  1. Students go to the GSU Data Ready! Badge Microcredentials - Research Data Services (RDS) iLearn page to enroll in the course.
  2. They find the module(s) that corresponds to the badge(s) they need to earn -- you may assign specific badges or let them choose as you see fit.
  3. Students view the recorded tutorials linked from the modules on their own time and complete the quiz learning assessments to earn badges.
  4. Once students successfully complete the quizzes, they earn the badge -- called an Award in iCollege.
  5. Have them share the badge with you for verification by either
    1. Forwarding their iCollege Award email notification, or
    2. Sending a link to their Award page.

  • and much more!

Additional SRM Resources:

Have Students Attend GSU Data Events!

Tabling Events - Love Data Week & Scary Data Week

These tabling events – organized by our Data Literacy & Learning Specialist and our student assistants and supported by RDS and Student Data Corps – include fun data activities that demonstrate data collection and visualizations. Plus, they promote Data in the ATL talks, RDS data-skills workshops and badges, and our online data-support resources like O’Reilly for Higher Education eBooks and SAGE Research Methods resources.

  • LOVE DATA WEEK -- occurs annually during the week of Valentine's Day (February 14)
  • SCARY DATA WEEK -- occurs annually during the week of Halloween (October 31)
