Data skills are highly valued by today's employers -- "the most lucrative skill[s] to have" and "the most valuable skill[s] you can learn." By earning GSU Data Ready! Badges, you demonstrate to potential employers that you are committed to growing the data skills that they look for in hires.

Got a job interview? Talk up your data skills! For example:
Applying for graduate school?
The GSU Data Ready! Badges program resonates with the GSU's Strategic Plan, particularly with the following goals from the Beyond College to Career focus and Student Success 2.0 focus:
1.2 Develop students’ digital skills through an infusion of content into the general education curriculum and through certificates or micro-credentialing at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
3.2 Expand availability of high-demand degree programs and other credentials at the graduate level with attention to student needs around instructional modality (online, face-to-face, hybrid), affordability and connection to local, national and global workforce needs.
Integrate GSU Data Ready! Badges into your course or program curriculum! Students can attend view recorded tutorials on their own time, go to the GSU Library's Stacks course catalog to join/"enroll" in the appropriate GSU Data Ready! Badge course, and complete our quiz learning assessments to earn badges. Once students receive a badge, have them share it with you for verification by either (1) having them forward their Badgr email notification, or (2) having them create a Badgr account to then send you a link to their badge in their Badgr Backpack.
It's that simple and requires no content creation by you!
