• Type in keywords (not phrases or sentences..except when it’s a unique phrase for the discipline)
• Use the word and between words if you want both words in each search result:
  • Example: motivation and fitness
• Use quotes to search an exact phrase
  • “theory of planned behavior”
• Use and asterisk to truncate
  • Example: therap* finds therapy, therapeutic, therapist

• a. Select Peer-Reviewed
• b. Limit by date(s) if you wish
• c. Consider using the Age filter. Hold down the control key to select more than one age group.
• d. Under Methodology, choose Empirical
• e. The subjects filter on the left can be helpful for narrowing broad searches
