Check for Understanding

Where do I get the information for my citations?

Where do I get the information for my citations?

  • From the work itself -  Look on the title page and the copyright page
  • In the library catalog - Go to the page with information about the item or the item itself and look for a citation helper.
  • In a research database - Go to the page with information about the item or the item itself and look for a citation helper.

When printing a PDF document in EBSCOHost, be sure you have printed both the article and the citation information.

Many of these sources have citation helpers, but you cannot trust that the formatting is correct; always double check it yourself!
