Health is everywhere, and if you are a student in introductory English, communications, or public speaking, this guide exists to make that research easier. This guide is especially helpful to students in Engl1101 and PHED1101.

Add Power to Your Search

  • To combine more than one main idea, use AND in UPPER CASE. Example: unemployment AND families for the effects of unemployment upon the family.

  • To search for an idea that's a phrase, put it in "quotes." Example: "traumatic brain injury."

Finally, long books can seem scary. To help you get the most out of them, remember the table of contents in the front and the index in the back to find information on y our topic.

To help find the books on the shelf, don't forget to ask a librarian or watch From Catalog to Shelves, a video on how to locate books.

eBooks on EBSCOHost and its companion collection, Academic eBooks on EBSCOHost, as well as Ebook Central are large collections of electronic books accessible through both GIL-Find and GALILEO. Ebook collections bring electronic versions of print books to your computer screen.

To search for and read these books at home, you need a GALILEO password.
