In consideration of the potential disruption to in-person courses at GSU campuses, the University Library can provide various levels of support in the following ways. (Note: Faculty who are temporarily online are encouraged to request sessions with a librarian at their usual campus.)
Contact your Subject or Campus Librarian today!
When the Library is closed, or you prefer to work remotely, there are many ways the Library can provide you with expert help and services. Always check the GSU Library website for the latest info about our hours and services.
You can request personal, online research consultations by contacting your Subject Librarian at the Atlanta Campus or Perimeter Campus Librarians. After submitting your request, library staff will contact you via email to confirm availability and provide a WebEx/Google Hangouts link to join the virtual consultation. You can also email the library at ask@gsu.email.libanswers.com
GSU Library offers a wide variety of digital materials available to faculty and students.
We have over 300 databases that provide access to digital articles, videos, and more!
Explore multiple library resources with one search. Use the limiters to focus your results on ebooks, videos, audio, and more.
Georgia State University Library’s Digital Collections include rare or unique resources that include manuscripts, photographs, periodicals, newspapers, oral histories, sound recording, maps, and printed materials.
Course Reserves is available to instructors wishing to provide electronic access to assigned readings or viewings. Physical loans are not available at this time, but we will consider every request. Materials acquired through GIL Express or Interlibrary Loan cannot be placed on reserve. See https://lib.gsu.edu/ereserves to place a request.
Interlibrary Loan helps students, faculty and staff gain access to books, articles, and other that are not part of our collections.
Desktop Delivery is a service that provides electronic copies of physical materials held in campus libraries, excluding Law Library materials. Available services vary by group.
Log into ILLIAD with your CampusID to make Desktop Delivery requests.
Due dates have been extended to August 8, 2020. Contact libcirc@gsu.edu if you need assistance in returning items before August.
Have other remote needs? New ideas for how the Libraries can help you off-campus? Send us your feedback.
