Creating persistent URLs in JStor

To create a persistent URL in JSTOR, add the ezproxy prefix in front of JSTOR's stable URL by following these steps:


  • Search for the specific item in JSTOR.
  • A stable URL is available in each item in the results list under "article summary".  You can also see the stable URL at the top of the article alongside the citation information once you open it. 

Here’s an example of a stable URL in JSTOR:

  • Copy the stable URL in a Word document or somewhere that you can edit it.
  • Paste the GSU ezproxy prefix: in front of the given stable URL
