Your Goal

Your primary goal is to: Identify a serious global socio-economic and/or political problem and present an NGO or activist strategy for a new approach to solving the problem. The problem must be related to international relations, comparative politics, or political economy in some way. It can be a problem happening outside the United States, or it can be a problem with global dimensions that takes place inside the United States.

Library Instruction Goals:

  • Develop a Boolean search strategy to find resources for your paper
  • Apply the search strategy to a database
  • Select two useful resources
  • Evaluate the contents of each resource

Strategy Paper Requirements:

  • 5 parts of the paper
    • Executive summary
    • Description of the problem
    • Past attempts for solution
    • Your proposed strategy
    • Short conclusion
  • MS Word document
  • 8-12 pages in length
  • Double-spaced with 12-point font and 1-inch margins (except for the executive summary)
  • Minimum of 8 sources, including 3 academic sources
  • Proper citation using APSA style
