Read & Publish Agreements

ACS (American Chemical Society)

  1. During Submission via ACS Paragon Plus, as a corresponding author, select Georgia State University from the drop-down box and use your affiliated university email address.
  2. Check that your GSU affiliation is stated in the body of the manuscript as the corresponding author’s affiliation.
  3. Complete the Journal Publishing Agreement to publish open access and retain copyright. Click on the ‘Order Open Access’ link in the JPA tool to submit the open access funding request.

ACM (Association for Computing Machinery)

  1. When you submit your paper to ACM, make sure to use your gsu.edu email address. The system will recognize you are part of an ACM Open institution.
  2. When you reach the rights screen, the default option is a Creative Commons CC-BY license - the recommended open access license. You can change it if you want to. More information about Creative Commons licenses is here.
  3. Once you submit your paper, you will get a copy of the agreement. 

 

Cambridge University Press

If you are a GSU corresponding author, you can publish your Cambridge University Press article Open Access - at no cost to you - in gold OA and hybrid journals. Eligible article types are listed here. Additional details are here.

 

Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)

  1. Eligible authors must be the primary corresponding author as identified in the article submission system. 
  2. Use your GSU email address when submitting your article.
  3. RSC may also use your ORCID to verify your affiliation. If you have not connected your ORCID to GSU, please do so.
  4. You can choose a CC-BY or a CC-BY-NC license. We recommend you select CC-BY.
