This document is a complaint relating to the refusal of the University of Georgia to consider the admission applications of African-American residents of Georgia under the same terms and conditions as those of white applicants. It details the attempts of Hamilton E. Holmes and Charlayne A. Hunter to gain admission to the University of Georgia.

A selection of representative pages has been digitized. The plaintiffs' preliminary statement charges the University of Georgia with a "tacit policy of limiting admissions to the University of Georgia to white persons" despite federal court decisions declaring segregated educational institutions to be a violation of the 14th Amendment.
