Keyword searches

If you are searching by keywords, try putting quotes around phrases or using "and" to link words to narrow down your search results. For example, "patient experience" or patient AND experience.

  • An advanced search for the subject terms "Health insurance -- United States" AND "Foreign workers -- United States" will find items that include BOTH of these topics
  • An advanced search for the subject term "Quality Assurance, Health Care" AND "patient care" in any field will find items that include both the subject terms and the phrase "patient care"

You can also limit the number of items in a search by using the "refine results" menu to limit your search for items by availability, format, a date range, language, subject, genre and more.

Keep in mind that the more specific you make your search, the more likely you are to find fewer items. In the event that you can't find items with multiple subject terms or phrases, keywords, etc. try making your search a little less specific or schedule a research appointment for assistance.
