How to link directly to articles in Science Direct

Most of the articles in Science Direct provide you with a doi that you can use. Try the Using DOIs tab at the top for info on how to do that.

Here’s another way to create the link:

     1.    Do a search for the article that you need.

2.    Click on the title in the results list to pull up the specific article that you need.

3.    Copy the URL in the URL bar at the top of your screen.

Here's an example of the link that you will see in the URL bar:

  http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0002929707609914

5.    Add the OpenAthens prefix , https://go.openathens.net/redirector/gsu.edu?url=, in front of the URL.

Here's an example of the finished URL:

https://go.openathens.net/redirector/gsu.edu?url=http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0002929707609914
