Submission Information

Use the MLA Directory of Periodicals found in the MLA International Bibliography to find publication and submission information for journals.  Ulrichsweb is another source for journal information.  Most journal webpages also include submission information.

Literary Works

To find creative works in the GSU libraries search the Library Catalog by subject for poetry, fiction, or short stories.  You can also search by author or title.  

Websites & Sources

Literary Hub features curated lists of all things pertaining to literature. 

Literary Market Place lists information about publishers, agents, and industry resources.

NewPages.com includes information about literary magazines, creative writing programs, indie bookstores, writing contests, and more.

Poets & Writers includes the Directory of Poets & Writers, databases of literary magazines and journals, small and independent presses, literary agents, MFA programs, writing contests, a literary events calendar, and select content from Poets & Writers Magazine.

Writer's Digest features writing prompts, practical techniques, and insightful interviews. It also includes information about instructional workshops, competitions, and professional services. Read issues of The Writer's Digest here.

Georgia State University Literary Journals

The Chattahoochee Review features poetry, fiction, non-fiction, interviews, and reviews by U.S. and international writers.  Visit The Chattahoochee Review website here.

Five Points, published by the Georgia State University Department of English three times a year, features poetry, fiction, essays, and interviews with working writers.  Visit the Five Points website here.
