ENGL 2131 American Literature: Borrowing & Requesting

The guide is for ENGL 2131 (American Literature) class.

GIL-PIN for Your Library Account

Your GIL-PIN is not like any other password you have at GPC. This unique password keeps your library account private. Use your GIL-PIN to request materials, monitor your requests, find out when your books are due, renew books, get the GALILEO password, and more.  Watch this video to find out how to get your PIN.

Renewing Materials online

Once you have your PIN, you can access Your Library Account to renew items, see what you have out, see the status of your requests, and see if you have any fines.

Watch this video to find out how!

Requesting Materials from another GSU Campus

You can request materials from any of the Perimeter College Campuses or the downtown campus libraries using your Library ID and Library PIN on GIL-Find.

GIL Express: Borrowing outside of GSU

If a book that you want is not available at GSU, you can locate and request the book through the GIL Universal Catalog.

You may also use this service, called "GIL Express," to request that a GSU book be sent to another USG school that is more convenient for you. This is free and takes 4-10 business days.

You cannot access non-GSU e-books (electronic books) through GIL Universal Catalog.
