Library Research Assignment – Week 6 – Due Oct. 9 by 4:00pm
ENGL 1101 Dr. Flowers Fall 2024
Purpose: To learn to use O*Net and GSU Library Databases to find information about your future career. You will use these two sources as part of your next major assignment: Annotated Bibliography (worth 5%) and your iSearch Paper (worth 25%).
Instruction: You will attend the Library Instruction Session on Wed. Oct. 9, 2024 from 2:30-3:45 in SA-3100. You will learn about O*Net and GSU Library Databases related to careers.
Assessment: By the end of Library Instruction on Oct. 2, you will complete and submit the “How do I start an Annotated Bibliography?” worksheet in Week 6 of iCollege. It does not have to be perfect. Just demonstrate that you listened and learned, did some research about your career, and found an article for your Annotated Bibliography (due in Week 7). Got it?
Below is some info about the iSearch Paper (due Week 10). On Oct. 9, you will focus on finding info about your future career on:
- O*Net (easy!) and
- Finding an article from a GSU Library Database (this part will take a little more time).
- We’ll work on the credible website later.
