Southern Labor Archives: Stetson Kennedy: A guide to his papers: Subject: Civil Rights Campaigns

Civil Rights Campaigns

Civil Rights campaigns

The key book that Kennedy wrote which deals with the civil rights campaigns is the Jim Crow Guide to the U.S.A. (different editions have different subtitles).

Many of the older documents in this collection deal with the poll tax, race riots, and there is a great deal of overlap between this collection and the “Lynching” and “Ku Klux Klan” sections of the Stetson Kennedy papers.
