Trade & Investment Framework Agreements
Trade and Investment Framework Agreements (TIFAs) provide strategic frameworks and principles for dialogue on trade and investment issues between the United States and the other parties to the TIFA; information on these can also be found on the website for the Office of the United States Trade Representative.
Bilateral Investment Treaties
The U.S. bilateral investment treaty (BIT) program helps to protect private investment, to develop market-oriented policies in partner countries, and to promote U.S. exports. International Trade Agreements

Global Preferential Trade Agreements Database
The Global Preferential Trade Agreements Database (GPTAD) provides information on preferential trade agreements (PTAs) around the world, including agreements that have not been notified to the World Trade Organization (WTO). It is designed to help trade policy makers, scholars, and business operators better understand and navigate the world of PTAs.
International Investment Agreements Navigator
Free database of around 2,800 international investment agreements (IIAs), compiled by the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Trade and Related Agreements Database (TARA)
TANC’s Trade and Related Agreements Database (TARA) includes more than 200 active, binding agreements between the United States and its trading partners covering manufactured products and services. It is designed to provide the public with information on agreements currently in force and does not include agriculture agreements.
WTO Regional Trade Agreements Database
The Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs) Database was established in 2009 as part of the World Trade Organization's Transparency Mechanism for RTAs. It was developed and is maintained by the RTA Section of the WTO Trade Policies Review Division.

Trade Classification Systems

HS (Harmonized System)
Six-digit code system that allows participating countries to classify traded goods on a common basis for customs purposes. Developed by WCO.
HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule)
Ten-digit system (based on the HS) used to determine tariff classifications for goods imported into the United States. Maintained by the US International Trade Commission.
NAICS (North American Industry Classification System)
Six-digit industry classification system that is sometimes used in trade statistics databases.
Schedule B (Statistical Classification of Domestic and Foreign Commodities)
The official schedule of commodity classifications to be used by shippers in reporting export shipments from the United States and in compiling the official export statistics. Reflects the adoption of the Harmonized System (HS).
SITC (Standard International Trade Classification)
Five-digit classification of commodities in external trade to provide the commodity aggregates for economic analysis and international comparison of trade-by-commodity data. Used often by UN and OECD.

A data visualization tool that complements the WTO Stats Portal with graphical presentations of data on merchandise trade, trade in commercial services and market access.
WTO Tariff & Trade Data platform
Provides access to official tariff and trade figures for over 150 economies

Trade Statistics: US Import & Export

Census -- US International Trade Data
The portal to available datasets such as state trade data, balance by partner country, partner country and product detail, historical series, and more.
TradeStats Express
Interactive dashboards and infographics providing data on U.S. goods trade at the national, state and metropolitan area levels.
USA Trade Online
Contains merchandise export and import data between the United States and all its trading partners. Patrons will will need to set up a FREE individual account.
USITC Interactive Tariff and Trade DataWeb
The USITC DataWeb provides public access to the official U.S. import and export statistics of the U.S. Department of Commerce in a user-friendly web interface. Using the DataWeb querying tool, users can build custom queries and access these data in a spreadsheet or a web-based format.

FTA Tariff Tool
This tariff search tool allows users to find tariff information on all products covered under U.S. Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
Harmonized Tariff Schedule
The Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) sets out the tariff rates and statistical categories for all merchandise imported into the United States. The HTS is based on the international Harmonized System, which is the global system of nomenclature applied to most world trade in goods.
