Use this guide to learn how to get one-click access to items in the Georgia State University Library collections using the LibKey Nomad browser extension

What is LibKey Nomad?

LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that simplifies and streamlines access to the items available via Georgia State University Library subscriptions. By adding this browser extension, you can bypass the library's website and obtain one-click access to full-text articles available from publisher pages, PubMed, Google, Wikipedia, and more.  

LibKey Nomad is available for the following browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Edge
  • Brave
  • Vivaldi

How to install LibKey Nomad

To download LibKey Nomad:

  1. Visit https://thirdiron.com/downloadnomad/
  2. Choose your browser and click the link to download the browser extensionChoose browser extension
  3. Select Georgia State University as your organizationLibKey Nomad pop up to select organization
  4. Now that you have the browser extension installed for LibKey Nomad, it will use the DOI to find and locate items that Georgia State University has access to through its subscriptions and will provide a button you can click to find them.   5. In some cases if the item is not available through our subscriptions you might be brought to the item record in the library catalog where you can find a link to request the item via Interlibrary loanImage of library catalog record with link to request item via Inter Library Loan
