EBSCO Access (Personal Data Retention and Usage Policy): Home

A guide on how to access ESBCO's databases and eBooks in light of their Personal Data Retention and Usage policy.

Overview

"As part of EBSCO's commitment to ensuring the security and privacy of customer and end user data, personal account users are required to consent to EBSCO's Personal Data Retention and Usage practices before logging in to their My EBSCOhost folder account." (more from EBSCO)

Due to the fact that GSU's EBSCO authentication is via OpenAthens, selecting "no" on the Personal Data Retention and Usage policy will prevent a user from accessing some EBSCO resources. Please use this guide for workaround steps to access EBSCO resources when opting out of the policy page.

Finding EBSCO Passwords

  1. Login to your Library Account

  • For GALILEO password, select "SHOW PASSWORD" in the GALILEO widget.
