What is Reaxys?

Reaxys is a chemical database available through a GSU subscription. This database is useful for searching organic, inorganic and organometallic chemistry information. Reaxys is updated weekly, and includes chemical, environmental, physical, and spectral data.

  • e.g. "preparation of porphyrine" or "Suzuki coupling"
• Substance name
  • e.g. "aspirin" or "Coumadin"
• Molecular formula
  • e.g. "C₁₃H₁₈O₂"
• CAS # (Chemical Abstract Services Number)
  • e.g. "102625-70-7"
  • The CAS # is a unique identifier for a substance, and is used consistently across many other science databases, including SciFinder, PubChem, and SDBS.
