Writing Samples for Jobs
In today's competitive job market, applicants—even those applying to positions not related directly to writing—may be required to submit writing samples. These are primarily used to determine writing ability, show literary and grammar skills, and reflect one's overall writing style.
Depending on the job you're applying for, a writing sample might be a requirement of the applicant screening process. Employers, for many professional jobs, place a high value on writing skills when screening applicants.
That's especially the case when writing is a component of the job. In order to ensure candidates have the skills they need, it is not uncommon for hiring managers to request a writing sample in addition to a resume or cover letter when they conduct their initial review of candidates
For this assignment, students will write a research problem showing how to solve a company's current crisis.
To complete this task, students must research ONE major problem and foresee how they will become the solution.
