Remember, an argument has two sides; those for it, those against it, then your stance.
The best way to write this paper is to chose a topic (current controversial issue seen on CNN, Headline News...etc...), then in your intro:
Para 1, tell us about the topic (include your thesis statement), The thesis statement is the last sentence in your intro that will tell the reader what the next 3 paragraphs will be about.
Ex thesis: While gun control continues to be a hot topic, there are those who support gun control, those against gun control, and the author will share his stance on gun control.
Para 2 will only discuss those for,
Para 3, tell those against it,
Para 4, tell your stance,
Para 5, conclude it all, re-state your thesis.
