In a world characterized by constant change, sophisticated telecommunications, and high-speed transportation, critical thinking taught by philosophy and the ability to understand foreign nationals in their own languages have become increasingly important. Reflecting these developments, the philosophy program at Georgia State experienced a substantial increase in enrollment last year, and the state's largest interpreters certification program continues to grow.
