I have a SciFinder account, but I have not used SciFinder-n before

• SciFinder-n allows you to use your existing SciFinder username and password. Log in to SciFinder-n
• If you have forgotten your username or password, reset them here.

I'm having trouble accessing SciFinder-n. What is the problem?

1) Campus Affiliation

Only GSU Atlanta campus students and faculty have access to SciFinder-n. GSU Perimeter campus students/faculty and people not affiliated with GSU will not be able to access SciFinder-n either from their home campus or off-campus.

2) SciFinder-n Account

You must create a free SciFinder-n account with your GSU Atlanta campus email before you can log in to SciFinder-n. You must be either at a computer connected to the Atlanta campus network or be connected using the GSU VPN to do this initial setup. 

3) Off-Campus Authorization

If you are accessing SciFinder-n from off-campus, try the following:

A) Attempt to access SciFinder-n through the "Log In" link above. External links that don't go through GSU authentication may not work.

B) Clear your internet browser history and try logging in again. Browser clearing instructions for: Chrome | Firefox | Safari | Edge

C) Check your internet browser version against SciFinder-n System Recommendations and Requirements. Update your browser or switch to a different one if needed. 

D) Download and install the GSU Cisco AnyConnect VPN from the GSU Technology Software Download site. Install and login instructions are provided with the download. Try using the VPN to log in with your CampusID, then try to access SciFinder-n from this guide.

4) Website Maintenance

SciFinder-n requires occasional maintenance and updates. SciFinder Availability lists scheduled maintenance times. Updates are usually done on late weekend nights for user convenience.
