CRAAP test

Evaluating Information:

Did you find a good resource, or are you just reading crap?  Use the CRAAP test as a checklist to help you evaluate your research material.  

Currency: The timeliness of the information.

Relevance: The importance of the information for your needs.

Authority: The source of the information.

Accuracy: The reliability, truthfulness, and correctness of the content.

Purpose/Objectivity: The presence of bias or prejudice/The reason the information exists.
