SCOM 1000 Human Communication: Finding Sources

Library Basics

Contact Jason if you need help at any point during your research. My contact info is in the box at right.  Don't waste time floundering; I can meet with you or advise by e-mail.

Ask for help at the Library North service desk, by phone (404-413-2800) or via the Live Assistance box on the library home page.

To find materials located at GSU Library, search GIL-Find, the online library catalog.

The contents of books and articles are not searchable in GIL-Find. Search a library database to find articles.

To obtain a book or article GSU doesn't have, request it via GIL Express (if it's available within the University System of Georgia) or Interlibrary Loan (ILL) if it's not.

Searching for articles

Different library tools let you search for different types of sources.

If all else fails, use the Discover search box on the library home page.
