So your professor said you had to use "empirical" scholarly articles for your project... And you might be thinking, "I have no idea what those are!" Don't panic - I'm here to help! By the end of this tutorial, you will:

1. Understand what it means to do empirical research.
2. Be able to identify an empirical article by looking for some specific features of articles that indicate they are empirical.
3. Understand the basic difference between quantitative and qualitative empirical research.
4. Be able to use specific limits in the PsycINFO and ERIC databases to find only empirical articles.
