What are Government Documents?
Materials published by a government agency, such as the Department of Education.
Are catalogued differently than other library materials: The Superintendent of Documents Classification System (SuDocs) is used instead of the usual Library of Congress (LC) classification system.
Organized by agency creating the document. Call number example from a GIL catalog government document record: ED 1.336:SCH 6 .
