Help with Data Collection, Analysis, and Visualization

The GSU Library has a Research Data Services (RDS) Team that offers help with various statistical/quantitative and qualitative software tools (SPSS, SAS, Stata, Excel, NVivo), finding data, survey design, and mapping and data/GIS visualization. Check out their website (library.gsu.edu/data) to learn more about their services, browse for workshops, see when they have drop-in help hours, or email RDS Team members directly to set up appointments. The RDS Team also offers the following special initiatives:

Tableau Help

The Library has a Research Data Services Team (library.gsu.edu/data) that offers workshops and one-on-one help on using various statistical software tools (including a Tableau workshop series). Below is contact information for the RDS Team members who offer Tableau help – you can email them to schedule an appointment or you can drop-in for help without an appointment during their Drop In! hours:

NVivo Help

​NVivo Help

The Library has a Research Data Services (RDS) Team (library.gsu.edu/data) that offers workshops and one-on-one help on using various statistical software tools (including an NVivo workshop series). Our NVivo Stata go-to person, Dr. Mandy Swygart-Hobaugh, has drop-in help hours or can be emailed directly at aswygarthobaugh@gsu.edu to set up an appointment to help you with using NVivo. Also check out Dr. Swygart-Hobaugh's NVivo help guide. NVivo is available on all of the Library’s desktop computers – see the Library’s hours here as well as for download to your personal computers at the GSU Software download page.

The Library has a Research Data Services (RDS) Team (library.gsu.edu/data) that offers workshops and one-on-one help on using various statistical software tools (including a Survey Design workshop series). Our Quantitative Data Specialist and survey design go-to person, Dr. Raeda Anderson, has drop-in help hours or can be emailed directly at randerson39@gsu.edu to set up an appointment to help you. Also check out Dr. Anderson’s Stata help guide. Stata is available on all of the Library’s desktop computers – see the Library’s hours here as well as the vLab for virtual desktop access.

The Library has a Research Data Services (RDS) Team (library.gsu.edu/data) that offers workshops and one-on-one help on using various statistical software tools (including an R workshop series). Our Quantitative Data Specialist and R go-to person, Dr. Raeda Anderson, has drop-in help hours or can be emailed directly at randerson39@gsu.edu to set up an appointment to help you with using Stata for your class assignments. R is available on all of the Library’s desktop computers – see the Library’s hours here – and is an open source software freely available for download here.
