Research Consultations

If you would like some individual help with your research, use one of these two options:

  1. Contact me by email or phone to set up an in-office consultation of about 20-30 minutes.  Please suggest two or three times that will work in your schedule and I'll get back to you within 1 business day.
  2. Come in any time the library is open to talk with the reference specialist on duty at the service desk.

Critical Analysis Paper

Select one mass medium discussed in class (books, newspapers, magazines, music, radio, television, movies, Internet, etc.) and explain its impact on society.  What is good and not-so-good? How would/could it be changed? What would change look like?

  • 3 pages, double spaced (not including annotated bibliography)
  • MLA essay format and citation style
  • Annotated bibliography of five (5) sources

Annotated Bibliography

An annotated bibliography is a list of sources for your research followed by a short description and evaluation of each one.  These links from Cornell University and The Purdue Online Writing Lab  explain the process of creating an annotated bibliography in depth.
