  • Update Adobe Reader

Ebook Central (Proquest)

NEW! Ebook Central has replaced the 2 previous platforms ebrary and EBL (Ebook Library). Your EBL bookshelf has been automatically migrated. The first time you access your bookshelf in Ebook Central, you will be prompted to log in with your ebrary username and password so that you can import your ebrary bookshelf.

  • Available to GSU faculty, students, and staff - campus ID and password required, even when on campus.
  • User limits vary depending on access rights to the title. Some titles are unlimited online concurrent access; others allow only one user at a time.
  • Downloads (with limitations) available through Adobe Digital Editions.

Downloading options

You can download a chapter, page range, or page as a PDF. These PDFs allow searching and selecting.

For a full download to a desktop or laptop, you need to have the free Adobe Digital Editions installed. If you want to transfer your download to a different device you will also need a free Adobe ID.

For downloading to an Android or iOS device, you need the free app Bluefire Reader. You will also need an Adobe ID.

Depending on GSU's access rights, some titles may say "not available for download."

This means that the book as a whole entity is unavailable for download.  However, you can still download or print individual chapters. To do this you must be viewing the book. Then select the appropriate icon at the top of the reader.
