BrowZine lets you browse, monitor, and read scholarly journals in your subject areas on your mobile device or computer. It works by consolidating academic journal articles from GSU Library subscriptions with Open Access collections and organizes them into an easily browsable newsstand format.
Note: To use some of these features like syncing and creating a bookshelf, you will need to set up a free personal account.
Most of the scholarly journals to which the library directly subscribes are included in BrowZine. Newspapers, aggregator content, trade journals, and popular journals are outside the scope of BrowZine, and are therefore excluded. Here is a list of participating publishers.
As its name suggests, BrowZine is designed for browsing recent scholarship in journals you read regularly or in tracking specific subject areas. Older backfiles (pre-2005) are not generally available within this service. For more in-depth research or to find articles on a specific topic, we recommend subject specific databases or the library's Discover search. For access to the library's full range of back issues, please search our Journal List.
On your smartphone or tablet, download the free BrowZine app. Open BrowZine and choose "Georgia State University" from the list of libraries. Logon with your campus ID and password.
On your desktop or laptop use the BrowZine website - available from our list of databases. You can also access BrowZine through the "View Complete Issue" links within your search results in Discover and Gil-Find.
