Risk Management & Insurance: Books

Find Books @ GSU

Use GIL, GSU's library catalog, to find books in our library. The catalog also lists other materials in the library - including microfilm, dissertations, movies, music and special collections.

A keyword search is a good place to start if you are looking for information on a topic. If you have more specific information, you can also search by title, subject or author.

Getting Books from Other Libraries

If GSU Library doesn't have the book you want, you have several options:

  • Click on Exact Search and enter book title you're looking for.
  • When viewing catalog details on a book, look for Institution Name and Status fields. Make sure a library (or libraries) has the book and that it is not checked out at all available locations.
  • If you see that another library has the book, click GIL Express Request link at top or bottom of catalog screen to request that it be sent to GSU Library. Read more about GIL Express here.
  • If a book is not available in the GIL Universal Catalog, you can request it from a non-University System of Georgia library for free using Illiad. Logon with your Library ID number (on back of your PantherCard) to place request. Read more about Illiad requests here.
