When you write a research paper, you will need to list basic information about the sources from which you obtained information. This basic information is included in a bibliography as a citation. For a book always cite the author, title, place of publication, publisher, and date. For a periodical article cite the author, title of the article, title of the journal the article appears in, volume and number of the journal, and the pages on which the article appears.
