FINDING MIDDLE EASTERN FILMS

Use the advanced search of the library catalog using terms related to the Middle East and terms like film, cinema, movies, documentary, etc. And if then choose "Audio Visual" under "Format." For example:

KANOPY

Kanopy Streaming Video offers a large collection of documentaries and independent films in a wide variety of subjects, including Middle East Studies. Open the database and click on "Browse" next to the search box, then go to the Global Studies & Languages Section and click on Middle Eastern Studies.

FILMS ON DEMAND

The Films on Demand database contains thousands of videos in nearly all disciplines.  

Follow these steps to find videos related to Middle East Studies:

  1. Open the database (use your campus ID and password to login if you are off-campus).
  2. Use the basic search box or the advanced search page to enter terms related to your area of interest in Middle East Studies.
