Library Basics

Library ID

Your Library ID has 7 characters starting with either a S, O or E and is found on the front of your PantherCard. You can also look up your Library ID online. Use your Library ID to:

  • Access your Library (GIL) Account to renew your library books, check/cancel your requests, get your GALILEO password, and manage your library account.
  • Access your Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) Account to request journal articles and books the library doesn't own. Note: requests via ILLiad are in your ILLiad account and not your GIL library account.
  • Access Desktop Article Delivery(faculty and graduate students only) to request electronic versions of journal articles we own in print

Campus ID & Password

Your campus ID & Password is the same what you use for uLearn or GoSOLAR (students) or EasyView (Faculty & Staff). Activate your campus ID (or change password) via the Campus ID Help. Use your Campus ID/Password to:

  • Log in to any library computer.
  • Access electronic resources (such as databases) from off campus.
  • Download EndNote

Full Text Articles & Databases

Databases contain articles and often include the full article or just the citation. You will also see the Find It @GSU button next to the citation: Click the button to see if the item is available in electronic full text or in print. If we don't have an item, you can request it via our Interlibrary Loan service.
