General Information for New Graduate Students

  • Graduate Assistantships - A number of internal scholarships, fellowships, grants, and assistantships are available to qualified graduate students.
  • University Policy on Continuous Enrollment - minimum of six hours for three semesters.
  • Borrowing - initial check out period is the duration of the semester. To check out books for a faculty member as a GRA, complete an authorization form at the Circulation desk.
  • Renew books online - renew books in the online catalog by logging on with your campus ID and password.
  • Desktop delivery - the library will email articles and book chapters from our print collection to graduate students at no cost.
  • Interlibrary Loan/GIL Express - request books and articles from other libraries at no cost to you.
  • Specialized Library Equipment - laptops, iPads, and digital cameras are a few of the equipment options available for checkout.
  • Connect from Off-Campus - most databases are accessible anywhere with an internet connection by logging on with your campus ID and password.
  • Study Rooms - reserve a study room in advance for three hours a day.
