ENGL 2121 - British Literature I: Getting Started

Library Home Page

You can find the GPC libraries homepage from the GPC homepage under "Quick Links" or at this address:

From this page you can navigate to GIL, GALILEO, tutorials, Ask a Librarian, and more!

Helpful tutorials for most databases and library tools can be found in this guide.

Welcome to the Library!

This guide will help you find reliable and authoritative information for your papers which comes from two sources:

  1. Books, both print books in GPC libraries and ebooks which can be read from computers or mobile devices and discovered with GIL-Find; and
  2. Scholarly articles from databases in GALILEO, all in digital format.

The guide will also connect you to helps with citation, directions on using library tools, and ways to communicate with librarians who can help you with questions.

Annotated Bibliography

An annotated bibliography is a list of sources for your research followed by a short description and evaluation of each one.  These links from Cornell University and The Purdue Online Writing Lab  explain the process of creating an annotated bibliography in depth.

Library Research Appointments

After the Library Instruction session, if you feel that you need additional help, you can schedule a research appointment with a reference librarian. Stop by the library to set up an appointment. Often the librarian can help you right away!
